Seriously, a man with a hook on a rope that he can use to pull people towards him and he's called Scorpio? It would have been less obvious to call him link.
This happens to be another third person game that gives me motion sickness. The first I ever encountered was Tomb Raider. First-person games don't make me sick. Although many people did I didn't get sick watching Cloverfield. Not all third person games make me sick. I was fine playing Assassins Creed, GTA IV, and Prototype. It's only certain games. Crackdown, for example, made me nauseous. I tried sitting far away, after resting for a day, and it seemed to make me feel worse.
Due to this affliction I'm probably not going to 100% this game. The races, which I was dreading anyway, seem out of reach.
Update 1: I have finished the main game. If I had done nothing else but the story missions this would have taken me only a few hours. I am at about 25% completion.
Update 2: I have been playing for a while and the nausea has gone down considerably.
Update 3: Stopped playing for about a week. Started playing again and nausea is back. Also after completing the main game everything left to do is starting to seem tedious to me. I have limited types of missions to do: Go to this village, find hidden boxes, blow up crap, do this 300 more times.
Update 4: Arrive at Communication Outpost. Pick up resource item. Destroy Broadcast Tower. Destroy Generator. Destroy Antenna Dish. Use Health Pack. Lather. Rinse. Repeat.
Update 5: It wouldn't bother me so much if destroying these things actually caused something to happen. For example, when you destroy a Communication Outpost it says "Communication Station Destroyed: Military communications have been disrupted" but it isn't. If upon destruction you're heat level couldn't go up in that area I would have much greater incentive to 100% this game.
Update 6: I'm almost done with this game. I've gotten 100% on all the locations, the skulls, black boxes, drug drops, faction missions, vehicle upgrades, stronghold takeovers, and agency missions. And aside from the last two you don't get anything. When I found the last skull I was told that I would soon find all the skulls. I can't even get one line of unique dialog for something that took me over 70 hours. Strongholds are pretty much just respawn points which are pretty useless since you have extraction. And agency missions are there to move along the story. There's no achievement for getting past 75% but I at least thought that being over 90% would fill me with a sense of accomplishment but I just feel like I wasted months of my life for nothing.
Update 7: I'm done. 3 achievements unfinished. 2 (Heroic/Legendary Agent) require another playthrough and I've had this game way too long already. And the last (Up to the Challenge 2) requires me to be much better at flying planes than I am. So long Panau.
